Practicing the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-sabi - the acceptance and appreciation of beauty in things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete - these objects are created with reclaimed copper wire, and found objects.
The Wabi aesthetic is in finding the simplicity, imperfections or understated elegance in natural and human-made objects. Celebrating the quirkiness and random anomalies that happen during the process of construction. I find Sabi in accepting these anomalies and finding the beauty that comes with age and impermanence as seen in the patina and imperfections.
